Frequently Asked Questions
ABOUT REGULAR and LIVE DEMO PAPER SUBMISSION
All instructions for submission are available at https://epapers2.org/iscas2027/ESR/login.php
See also the “AUTHOR HELP” section for templates and other useful information.
What is the paper submission deadline?
The deadline for Regular papers, Special Sessions papers & Live Demonstrations is October 26, 2026, at 23:59 (UTC−05:00)
Tutorial sessions: Closed
Authors should ensure that their submission is complete and compliant with the requirements before the deadline.
Can the submission deadline be extended?
No extension is currently announced. Authors should plan to submit by the published deadline.
What is the maximum paper length?
Papers are limited to 5 pages: up to 4 pages of technical content, plus an optional fifth page for references only. Papers exceeding this limit are not compliant with the submission requirements.
Can I submit a six-page paper by paying an additional fee?
No additional-page option or page fee is specified in the current ISCAS 2027 guidelines. Authors should ensure that their paper complies with the 5-page limit.
What format should I use for my paper?
Authors must use the official ISCAS 2027 paper template. Papers may be prepared in US Letter or A4 format and must comply with the published PDF requirements.
What are the PDF requirements?
The submitted file must be a PDF no larger than 5 MB. All fonts must be embedded and Type 3 fonts should be avoided. The PDF must also comply with the requirements specified in the ISCAS 2027 PDF Author Help, including the restrictions on bookmarks, form fields, hyperlinks and page numbering.
Can I submit supplementary material?
No, supplementary materials are not supported or allowed.
How many authors can a paper have?
If you have more than 9 authors, please contact the system admin for assistance: iscas@epapers.org
Can I change the author list after submission?
Author information can be edited until the submission deadline. The published guidelines do not specify a procedure for adding authors after the deadline. Authors should therefore ensure that the author list is complete and correct before submitting.
Is my research topic suitable for ISCAS 2027?
Papers must present original research contributions in circuits and systems. The conference covers a broad range of topics, including analog and mixed-signal circuits, digital systems, communications, biomedical circuits and systems, machine learning circuits and systems, electronic design automation, neuromorphic engineering and more.
Research combining EDA and machine learning, for example, can be suitable when its contribution is relevant to circuits and systems.
Are survey or review papers accepted?
Papers are intended for original research contributions. The current guidelines do not define a separate survey or review-paper category. A survey-style paper should therefore include a substantial original contribution to be suitable for the Paper track.
Can an accepted paper be presented remotely?
The current guidelines require at least one author to attend the conference in person and present the accepted paper. No general remote or pre-recorded presentation option is accepted, including for visa-related circumstances.
What happens if an accepted paper is not presented?
IEEE reserves the right to exclude an accepted paper from distribution after the conference, including removal from IEEE Xplore, if the paper is not presented at the conference.
Can I participate without submitting a REGULAR and/or LIVE DEMO Paper?
ISCAS 2027 includes other contribution categories, such as Special Sessions and Tutorials.
Authors interested in another type of contribution should follow the relevant submission procedure.
Anyhow, you are very welcome to ISCAS 2027 even if you haven't submitted a paper or if your submitted paper was unfortunately rejected.
ABOUT SPECIAL SESSIONS AND TUTORIALS PAPER SUBMISSION
Special Session proposal submissions are now closed.
Each special session paper must follow the regular ISCAS submission procedure.
Authors should first select the relevant technical track and then select the corresponding special session.
